CJP Appreciates Punjab Prosecution’s Technology-driven Reforms
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) A delegation led by Prosecutor General Punjab, Irfan Sadiq Tarar on Friday called on Chief Justice of Pakistan at the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The delegation comprised Additional Prosecutor General Punjab, Ahmad Raza Gillani and Deputy Prosecutor General Punjab Irfan Zia. During the meeting, matters relating to the functioning of the prosecution service and use of technology to enhance institutional efficiency and case management were discussed.
The Chief Justice appreciated the technology integration undertaken by the Office of the Prosecutor General Punjab, particularly advancements in case assignment and record management. He observed that effective use of technology in streamlining these processes promoted greater efficiency, transparency and orderly management of cases.
He emphasized that greater adoption of technology in judicial and prosecutorial processes could significantly contribute to improving the administration and delivery of justice.
The Prosecutor General Punjab briefed the Chief Justice on initiatives undertaken by his office and reiterated the department’s commitment to further leveraging technology to improve prosecution services and coordination with courts.
