CM’s United States Visit To Open New Avenues For Punjab-US Cooperation: Ali Dar
US Consul General in Lahore, Stetson Sanders, called on Punjab Chief Minister’s Adviser on AI and Special Initiatives, Ali Dar, on Tuesday and discussed preparations and prospects linked to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to the United States.
During the meeting, Ali Dar stated that the chief minister’s visit would open new avenues for bilateral cooperation and partnership between Punjab and the United States, specifically in the domains of investment, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and economic collaboration. He emphasized that the visit would mark a significant milestone in attracting investment and advanced technological expertise to Punjab and strengthening cooperation in emerging sectors.
Ali Dar noted that international partnerships are a crucial aspect of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision to transform Punjab into a global hub for artificial intelligence. He added that enhanced cooperation with the United States could present new opportunities for introducing world-class technology, innovation, and investment in the province. "Artificial intelligence and advanced technologies are integral to Punjab’s future, and we aim to further strengthen cooperation with the United States in these fields," he stated.
The adviser revealed that the Office of AI Punjab is already engaged in knowledge exchange, technology partnerships, and AI cooperation with international stakeholders, including the United States. He expressed optimism that the chief minister’s US visit would positively impact Punjab’s AI ecosystem and generate new prospects for investment, innovation, and technology-driven economic growth.
