CM Stresses Collective Efforts To Support Underprivileged
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday paid tribute to charitable organizations engaged in serving humanity and stressed the need to promote compassion, mutual cooperation, and support for the underprivileged.
In her message on World Charity Day, the CM stated that she regarded service to humanity as an act of worship and a fundamental aspect of her political manifesto. She emphasized that public welfare, service to humanity, and charity are essential pillars for society's survival and progress.
Maryam Nawaz asserted that poverty and deprivation can be alleviated through donations and charity, appealing to people to offer assistance to those in need. She suggested that governments, welfare organizations, and philanthropists collaborate to build a robust, compassionate, and caring society.
"Sharing the pain of others and helping people in distress is a noble act," she remarked, adding that even a modest donation or gesture of aid could significantly transform someone's life for the better.
The Punjab government has initiated Pakistan's first Air Ambulance Project, aiming to serve humanity and provide prompt emergency assistance to those in need, as part of its humanitarian efforts.
