CM’s Aide Reviews Progress On Projects Relating To Tourism Sector
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 27, 2026) Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism, Malik Adeel Iqbal here Thursday chaired a meeting to review the progress on new development projects being carried out under the annual development program.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Tourism and Culture Saadat Hassan, Director General Culture and Tourism Authority Shahid Khan, and other relevant officials.
During the meeting, participants were given a detailed briefing on the new and ongoing projects and financial matters. The meeting was informed that a total of 58 projects have been included in ADP, including 26 new projects while 11 are being implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
CM aide directed the relevant authorities to further accelerate work on development projects and take necessary measures to ensure their quality. He stated that timely completion of projects and promotion of tourism were among the government’s priorities. He directed to prepare the PC-I documents of development projects at the earliest to avoid unnecessary delays. He further directed that all necessary requirements at the planning stage be completed timely to ensure the benefits of development projects reach the public and tourists as soon as possible.
He directed that Tourism Facilitation Centers be completed before the next tourist season and initiate work on the chairlift project in Galiyat. He added that the timely and quality completion of development projects would further strengthen the tourism sector in KP, helping unlock the province’s vast tourism potential.
