The commuters travelling from Jaranwala Road towards Chhoti D-Ground have received a major relief as Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh has issued a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” for a designated route before the T-junction.

A spokesman of local administration said here on Sunday that work on the specified route would be completed within one week after which the commuters travelling towards Chhoti D-Ground would have an easier and more convenient passage.

He stated that this initiative is aimed at providing an alternative and accessible route for people using Jaranwala Road towards Chhoti D-Ground.

Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh said that issuance of the NOC would enable the relevant work to proceed without further delay. He expressed optimism that completion of the route would offer immediate relief to commuters, easing the difficulties currently faced by those travelling along this corridor.

He emphasised that facilitating citizens and improving road connectivity are essential components of the district administration’s efforts to tackle transportation-related issues and enhance mobility within the city.

The development is set to benefit residents and daily commuters on the Jaranwala Road-Chhoti D-Ground route, offering them a more convenient travel option and reducing inconveniences at the T-junction. Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh reiterated the administration’s commitment to identifying and addressing bottlenecks affecting public movement, and taking measures to enhance traffic flow and ease of travel for citizens.
