Political tensions must not escalate to the point of prompting governor’s rule; problems can be resolved through mutual tolerance and finding middle ground in political matters. Denying Imran Khan permission to meet his family is inhumane, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Oct, 2026) Barrister Gohar has stated the need for talks with the government to resolve political issues and stressed that political tensions should not lead to governor’s rule.
Speaking to journalists outside Parliament House, he expressed concern over the rising political tensions, political victimisation, and the exploitation of the emergency pretext by political opponents.
Barrister Gohar emphasized the importance of early and constructive negotiations to address political issues. He argued against escalating tensions to the point of governor’s rule, suggesting that mutual tolerance and compromise could solve problems.
He accused political opponents of taking advantage of the emergency situation, noting that PTI has not raised "Gullu Butts" and advocating for non-violence in politics. He also pointed out the lack of opportunities for political parties and their leadership to engage in political activities.
Gohar maintained that their parliamentary meeting was a regular session, which was being exaggerated.
