Cop Shot Dead in Inayat Kalay Bazaar
BAJAUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) A police constable met his martyrdom when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on him at Inayat Kalay Bazaar in Bajaur district. The deceased was identified as Rahmatullah, a resident of Lagharai area of Mamund tehsil.
According to the police, he was returning home while on leave when the attackers targeted him at the bazaar, leading to his immediate death. The body of the martyred constable was transferred to District Headquarters Hospital Khar for a post-mortem examination.
Following the incident, the police secured the area and initiated a search for the perpetrators, gathering evidence from the crime scene. They are investigating the motive behind the attack and identifying those involved.
