Couple Found Dead: A Tragic Domestic Discord
SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Sep, 2026) A woman was found hanging while her husband was discovered dead with blood stains in the Bhabra area within the jurisdiction of Mela Police Station, police revealed on Thursday.
The District Police Officer Sargodha, Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, took immediate notice and requested a report from the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kot Momin. The Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Imran Abbas Chadhar, along with police personnel, arrived at the scene. The Crime Scene Unit and forensic teams meticulously collected evidence from the site.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident stemmed from a domestic argument. Police believe that the woman, identified as Samreen, attacked her husband, Muhammad Riaz, with a cot leg before taking her own life.
The police are investigating further, promising to take appropriate legal action based on additional evidence and findings.
