A local court on Thursday sentenced a drug supplier, Akhtar, to nine years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 80,000.
Dhamyal Police had arrested the convict in 2025 after recovering 1.06 kilograms of hashish (charas) from his possession. Following a complete trial, the court handed down the conviction after the prosecution successfully presented concrete evidence and forensic reports linking the accused to contraband trafficking.
