Crackdown: 15 Cattle Sheds Demolished On Chand Rai Road
The district administration launched an operation against illegally established cattle sheds in residential areas and demolished 15 such sheds on Chand Rai Road under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Kashif Jalil.
According to a district administration spokesman, the action was taken following repeated warnings and complaints from citizens, as the owners had failed to remove the illegal sheds voluntarily. The administration stated that the cattle sheds were causing serious sanitation and sewerage problems, while animal waste was also creating difficulties for residents.
Teams from the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA), Municipal Corporation Lahore, Suthra Punjab, and other relevant departments participated in the operation.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Kashif Jalil said illegal cattle keeping in urban areas would not be allowed and indiscriminate action would be taken against violators. He added that the operation would be expanded to other areas of the city in the next phase to remove illegally established cattle sheds.
