The Tehreek Tahafuz Aain Pakistan has warned that any unconstitutional move could spark widespread public protest.
A Direct Attack on Pakistan’s Foundation
According to Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Leader of the Opposition, the Constitution of Pakistan clearly outlines the process for forming new provinces. Creating provinces akin to districts through executive orders, however, would be deemed a direct attack on the nation’s foundation.
“In contrast, creating provinces like districts merely through administrative orders (executive orders) would be considered a direct attack on the foundation of Pakistan.”
We warn these forces that public reaction to any such unconstitutional step would not be contained, and the entire nation would take to the streets in protest.
"Pakistan can no longer afford any such crisis or adventurism."
