City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi have launched strict action against illegal and unregistered driving schools operating in the district. CTP Rawalpindi has issued written notices directing them to wind up operations immediately. This initiative was taken on the directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam.

The CTO emphasized that:

  • Road accidents are often caused by negligence and lack of awareness among road users.
  • Inadequate training at substandard driving schools can increase the risk of road accidents. Such institutions frequently fail to provide proper instruction on traffic laws, road safety, vehicle mechanics, and safe driving practices.

Therefore, legal notices have been sent to unregistered and substandard driving schools to help protect human lives and reduce the risk of road accidents. The traffic police are also focusing on:

  • Traffic education
  • Road safety
  • Reducing accidents
  • Ensuring smooth traffic flow across the district.
