HAVANA: Cuba's electricity grid suffered a total collapse on Friday, cutting power across the island of approximately 9.4 million people, according to the country's Energy Ministry. The aging power generation system has been under severe strain due to fuel shortages and deteriorating infrastructure, while recurring outages already leave millions without electricity even when the national grid is operating.
