DC Attends Monsoon Preparedness Conference
Sialkot, August 20, 2026 (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News) – Deputy Commissioner Sialkot, Awais Mushtaq, participated in a video link conference chaired by Punjab Health Minister, Khawaja Salman Rafique, to review arrangements for dealing with possible emergencies during monsoon rains and current weather conditions.
According to a spokesperson from the DC Office, the additional deputy commissioner enforcement, assistant commissioner, CEO health, managing director WASA, and District Emergency Officer attended the conference.
The meeting focused on relief and rescue arrangements as well as measures to prevent the spread of diseases during the monsoon season. Participants were directed to ensure advance preparations, effective coordination among departments, and timely responses to any emergency. Relevant departments were also asked to remain vigilant and guarantee the availability of necessary resources and public health services.
