DC Chairs District Coordination Committee Meeting in Sialkot
SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 04, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Awais Mushtaq, along with Brigadier Asim Aziz Kiyani and DPO Capt (retd) Dost Muhammad, chaired a District Coordination Committee meeting here on Friday to review encroachments, illegal petrol pumps, LPG decanting, and traffic law enforcement.
According to a DC Office spokesperson, the meeting expressed satisfaction over action against organized begging networks, with 11 FIRs registered against network operators during the last month. The DC directed officials to further intensify the crackdown.
The meeting also reviewed action against encroachments, particularly those blocking drains and rainwater flow. He directed Civil Defence and assistant commissioners to make operations against illegal petrol pumps and LPG decanting more effective.
He also instructed the DSP Traffic to strengthen awareness campaigns on traffic rules and helmet use, especially in educational institutions.
