DC Extends 30-day Ban on Urea Trade Over Security Concerns
KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, has extended for another 30 days a ban on the sale, purchase and transportation of urea fertiliser in the district, citing security concerns and the possibility of its misuse in unlawful activities.
According to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the restriction has been imposed to prevent misuse of urea fertiliser and protect public safety. The ban takes immediate effect and will remain applicable for 30 days.
The order warns that violators will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
