DC Kohat Reviews Administrative Performance, Orders Strict Market Monitoring
KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz, chaired a meeting on Saturday with district administration officers, including Assistant Commissioners and Additional Assistant Commissioners. The purpose was to review official performance and assess progress on various indicators of public service delivery.
The meeting discussed administrative matters and the progress on public service facilities in detail. The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to:
- Ensure prompt resolution of public complaints.
- Improve service delivery.
- Discharge their official responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
Following these directives, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat Syed Mukhtiar Shah conducted inspections at Nehar Chowk and Kohat board Chowk, checking hotels, fruit and vegetable shops, bakeries, and other outlets selling essential commodities. The inspection teams examined:
- Official price lists.
- Food quality.
- Hygiene and sanitation arrangements.
Legal action was taken against shopkeepers violating government price regulations or failing to maintain cleanliness standards. The district administration stated that market inspections would continue regularly to ensure the availability of quality food items at notified prices and safeguard public health.
