DC Murree Reviews Ongoing Development Projects, Directs Timely Completion

Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, held a meeting on Friday to review ongoing development projects at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The gathering scrutinized the progress of several development and construction initiatives underway throughout Murree.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the relevant departments to uphold quality and transparency in all ongoing schemes, ensuring timely use of allocated funds to complete the projects within the prescribed timeline. He emphasized that timely project completion is vital to enhance facilities for both tourists and the local population.
The meeting also addressed building control matters. Shirazi directed authorities to take stringent action against illegal construction and encroachments to safeguard Murree’s scenic beauty and natural environment. He underscored the necessity of rigorously enforcing building bylaws and advocated for legal consequences for violators.
Additionally, the session reviewed the recovery of outstanding dues and fees owed to the Municipal Corporation Murree. The Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned staff to expedite the recovery process and achieve set targets promptly. He noted that improving the municipal corporation’s financial health will contribute to enhancing civic and municipal services for residents.
