DC Orders Strict Implementation Of Axle Load Management Law
DERA GHAZI KHAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Usman Khalid has ordered for strict and effective implementation of the axle load management law to ensure road safety, improve traffic flow and prevent accidents in the district.
He issued these directions while presiding over a meeting of transporters held to review matters relating to axle load management. Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Nazar Hussain Korai and other relevant officers attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that compliance with the prescribed axle load limits must be ensured in letter and spirit, stressing that overloading not only damages roads but also poses serious risks to motorists and other road users.
He directed the concerned departments to take all necessary measures for effective enforcement of the law.
During the meeting, transporters apprised the Deputy Commissioner of their issues and concerns regarding axle load management.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the relevant officers to address their genuine grievances in accordance with the law and applicable rules and regulations.
He said cooperation among all stakeholders was essential for successful implementation of the axle load management regime.
The administration and transporters should maintain close coordination and work together to ensure compliance with the law while safeguarding road infrastructure and public safety.
