DC Quetta Reviews Progress on Development Projects, IT Lab Establishment
DC Quetta chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects and the establishment of a modern IT lab. The meeting, held on September 07, 2026, was attended by Assistant Commissioner (City) Quetta Amir Hamza, Executive Engineer (City), and other relevant officials.
During the session, the Executive Engineer presented an update on various projects’ current status, construction activities, challenges, and strategies to ensure timely completion. Detailed discussions focused on urban facilities improvement, infrastructure development, construction pace, quality standards, and public-interest project timelines.
Meherullah Badini, Deputy Commissioner, emphasized the significance of aligning the IT lab with contemporary digital requirements, stating that information technology is essential in today’s era. He directed officials to ensure regular monitoring of projects, avoid delays, and meet deadlines.
He also stressed on maintaining high quality standards in development projects and instructed departments to accelerate work, strengthen monitoring, and adhere to prescribed construction norms.
