DC Visits Urban Forest, Plants Saplings – UrduPoint

Lodhran’s Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf visited the Urban Forest, established by the Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP), on National Tree Plantation Day. He inspected the low-cost plantation model and was briefed on nursery management and plant production.
Ashraf highlighted the importance of plants and trees for both present and future generations, praising the LPP’s efforts to make the district greener and environmentally friendly.
He, along with LPP CEO Dr. Abdul Saboor and others, planted saplings in the eight-acre extended area of the Urban Forest. Dr. Saboor emphasized the LPP’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable future under the vision of its founder, Jahangir Khan Tareen. He mentioned the establishment of a 20-acre Urban Forest model aimed at improving the environment and making Lodhran greener.
