DCO Nets Rs114,825 From Ticketless Passengers
Pakistan Railways' Multan Division has intensified its crackdown on ticketless travel, recovering Rs 114,825 from 36 passengers during surprise checks on Sunday, October 04, 2026.
This drive aligns with the vision of Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and directives of Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railways Multan Muhammad Khalid Khan, aiming to discourage travel without tickets and protect railway revenue.
A team from the Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Group, led by DCO Multan Rashid Ali Mahesar, inspected the 8 Down Multan-Khanewal and 13 Up Khanewal-Multan trains. They caught 36 ticketless passengers, collecting Rs 102,350 in fare and Rs 12,475 in fines.
The team also inspected stalls at Multan and Bahawalpur railway stations, finding substandard food items and imposing fines totaling Rs 12,000.
Rashid Ali Mahesar, DCO Multan, emphasized that providing quality travel facilities, safeguarding railway revenue, and ensuring standard food items at stations are top priorities for Pakistan Railways. He vowed to continue actions against ticketless travel and substandard food without discrimination.
