Defence Day Honors Sacrifices Of Armed Forces And Martyrs: CM Sarfraz Bugti
Pakistan's armed forces, martyrs, and veterans are being honored on the occasion of Defence Day by Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, who describes September 6 as a pivotal moment in national history, marking the extraordinary sacrifices made for the defence of the motherland.
In his message, Sarfraz Bugti recalls the 1965 war, where Pakistan Army officers and soldiers demonstrated exceptional courage and determination, defeating enemy plans. He emphasizes that Pakistan's defense history is replete with sacrifices, bravery, and national unity.
Bugti highlights the significance of martyrs, considering them the nation's benefactors, while their families are held in high esteem. He argues that today, defending the homeland involves securing borders and promoting national unity, economic stability, education, development, and peace.
"A strong, stable, and prosperous Pakistan is the assurance of a secure future for our coming generations," he states. Bugti also recognizes Balochistan's contributions, highlighting the province's steadfastness in ensuring the country’s security and stability, with martyrs having laid down their lives for defense and peace. He acknowledges the sacrifices of security forces and law enforcement agencies in countering terrorism, assuring that these efforts will never be forgotten.
Defence Day, according to Bugti, offers a chance to reaffirm national unity, pledge to defend Pakistan's sovereignty at all costs, and work collectively for development, prosperity, and peace. He concludes with prayers for the elevation of martyrs' ranks, the well-being of veterans, and Pakistan's progress and stability.
