Defence Day: A Symbol of National Unity and Collective Strength, Says PA Speaker
KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2026) Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Syed Awais Qadir Shah, on Defence Day stated that Defence Day signifies national unity and collective strength. He emphasized that no power can defeat a united nation's resolve.
The Speaker paid tribute to martyrs, veterans, and their families. He recalled the 1965 war, where the nation and its armed forces thwarted enemy plots, highlighting the sacrifices of martyrs as a guiding light for future generations.
Shah noted that the spirit of September 6 was demonstrated during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, adding that the victory in the Battle of Truth (Marka e Haq) continues this patriotic legacy.
