Dera's Traders Participate in FBR Online Meeting on Tajir Asaan Scheme
Dera Ismail Khan traders actively participated in an online gathering organized by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to delve into the Tajir Asaan Scheme. This event facilitated discussions on taxation matters and aimed to offer enhanced support to the business community.
The delegation comprised Central President Sohail Ahmed Azmi, along with Muhammad Ramzan, Sheikh Majeed, Khalid Hussain, Amanullah Daultani, Nauman Niazi, and FBR Deputy Commissioner D.I. Khan, Malik Muhammad Riaz. Representatives from various cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Gujranwala, also attended.
During the session, traders engaged in a detailed exploration of the Tajir Asaan Scheme's multifaceted aspects. Key topics included registration procedures, income tax returns, turnover tax, audit requirements, Point of Sale (POS), withholding agents, and the array of conveniences available to enrolled traders.
Participants voiced the necessity for streamlined and practical processes, ensuring traders could effortlessly meet their tax obligations without encountering undue hardships. They also emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the FBR and traders' organizations to effectively address community concerns.
The meeting was honored with the presence of senior FBR officials and notable figures from traders' organizations, such as State Minister for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial, All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran President Ajmal Baloch, and Central Anjuman-e-Tajiran Pakistan President Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry.
Traders encouraged their peers to capitalize on the Tajir Asaan Scheme, highlighting its potential to streamline tax procedures and offer substantial ease to participants. They also discussed potential exemptions from specific audit, inspection, and POS-related procedures for traders with turnovers not exceeding Rs200 million.
Dera Ismail Khan's traders stressed the significance of sustained dialogue between traders' organizations and the FBR in enhancing the scheme's effectiveness and ensuring the consideration of concerns raised by traders nationwide.
