Development Projects Reviewed Under ‘Developed Khanewal’ Vision
KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Aug, 2026) A meeting to review the progress of ongoing and new development projects, release of funds and other related matters in the district was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad in line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of “Developed Khanewal.”
The meeting was given a detailed briefing on 10 development schemes proposed for the financial year 2026-27. These included:
- Seven schemes of the District Council
- One scheme of Municipal Committee Talmba
- Two schemes under the Sugar Cess Development Programme.
Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad directed the officers concerned to ensure commencement of practical work on the development projects after completion of all legal and procedural requirements. She stressed that transparency, quality, and timely completion of all schemes must be ensured at every stage.
She made it clear that no compromise would be made on the quality and pace of development projects. She also directed relevant officials to continuously monitor the schemes and ensure progress according to the prescribed timelines.
