DG Khetran Vows to Provide Equal Opportunities for Persons with Different Abilities
QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) Director General Social Welfare Balochistan, Saifullah Khetran, on Friday stated that the provincial government is taking concrete steps to promote the welfare of individuals with diverse abilities, aiming to integrate them into society as active and respected members.
He made these remarks while presiding over a ceremony wherein tricycles were distributed to the disabled, highlighting the efforts of the Social Welfare Department Balochistan.
Khetran expressed that, pursuant to the specific directives of Provincial Minister and Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare, Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai, the department is actively implementing various initiatives for the well-being of these individuals, ensuring them equal opportunities in society.
He emphasized that the distribution of scooters and tricycles is aimed at enhancing the mobility, boosting confidence, and promoting self-reliance among persons with different abilities.
"The Social Welfare Department Balochistan is dedicated to ensuring that the deserving individuals receive their rightful support without any discrimination, enabling them to lead independent and dignified lives," Khetran affirmed.
He further underscored that the responsibility for the welfare of the disabled extends beyond government boundaries, calling on all segments of society to contribute to their rehabilitation, education, employment, and self-sufficiency.
Khetran assured that the Social Welfare Department will continue to implement welfare measures in the future, keeping the needs of these individuals at the forefront.
