DHO Inaugurates Polio Campaign In Hyd
Hyderabad, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 20, 2026) The District Health Officer (DHO) Hyderabad, Dr Pir Ghulam Hussain, inaugurated the polio drive at Aga Khan Healthcare Centre in Mubarak Colony here on Sunday.
A spokesman of the DHO office informed that Dr Jorge D Caravotta, Team Lead of UNICEF, and doctors of AKU were also present. According to him, the DHO chaired a meeting to discuss:
- Polio eradication initiative
- Nutrition-related interventions
- Coordination
- Identification and resolution of field issues
The need for coordination between AKU, Sindh Health Department, and UNICEF was also highlighted. The immunization campaign will continue till September 27.
