DIG Operations Holds Second Online Open Court
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2026) DIG Operations Faisal Kamran held a second online open court under the banner of digital policing and public participation, in which 14,000 citizens participated.
During the online open court, the DIG Operations listened to the problems and suggestions of citizens directly through Facebook, while the citizens were also informed about the progress made on the suggestions received in the previous open court.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran stated that work had commenced on installing CCTV cameras in Lahore’s underpasses, with cameras soon to be in place to enhance security. He explained that surveillance of underpasses and preventing crimes would be significantly improved through CCTV cameras.
He further emphasized Lahore Police's zero-tolerance policy against corruption, encouraging citizens to identify officers or elements involved in corrupt practices.
Faisal Kamran also announced the introduction of a voice recording system alongside the cameras installed in police stations, enabling the recording of conversations between citizens and police officers visiting the station.
The DIG Operations instructed citizens to register themselves in police stations or service centers prior to hiring domestic workers. He stressed that once a domestic worker was registered, their record would also be accessible to the police.
He added that operations against usury in Lahore were ongoing, encouraging citizens to identify and avoid falling victim to usury and fraudulent elements.
