Dist Admin Steps Up Subsidised Flour Distribution Through 64 Dealers
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) The district administration has intensified the supply of government-regulated flour in Kohat, with 64 dealers and designated sale points distributing flour to consumers at the officially notified price.
This initiative is being implemented under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Release Policy 2026 to ensure adequate availability of flour and prevent overcharging and irregularities in its distribution.
District Food Controller Kohat, Mahmood-ur-Rahman, inspected several flour mills to assess stocks, quality and distribution arrangements. He directed mill management to strictly follow the Release Policy and ensure production of flour according to prescribed standards and its timely supply to designated dealers.
The Food Department has fixed the price of a 20-kilogram flour bag at Rs2,520. The DFC also met flour dealers and instructed them to maintain transparency in distribution and sell flour only at the approved price.
He warned that strict action would be taken against violations involving the price, quality, stock or distribution of government-regulated flour.
The DFC urged consumers to report complaints regarding overpricing, poor quality, shortages or irregular distribution to the relevant complaint cell for legal action against violators.
