Distribution Of Solar Home System Kits Continues Under 'Roshan Ghar - Roshan Sindh' Vision
SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Aug, 2026) Under the Sindh Government's 'Roshan Ghar - Roshan Sindh' vision, the distribution and installation of Solar Home System (SHS) kits among eligible households is continuing in different districts of the province.
In this regard, solar kits were handed over to eligible families in several districts including:
- Qambar-Shahdadkot: 90
- Sanghar: 201
- Thatta: 109
- Sujawal: 196
- Tharparkar: 230
- Tando Allahyar: 168
- Jacobabad: 16
on Monday.
The solar kits are being distributed under the Sindh Government's Energy Department Solar Home System (On-Grid/Off-Grid) Project, which is being implemented by the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO).
Objective: The Solar Home System project aims to provide reliable, affordable and sustainable energy facilities through solar technology to 275,000 households in 30 districts of Sindh through a transparent selection process.
The Solar Home System kits were provided free of cost after a transparent screening and verification process as per the eligibility criteria of beneficiary households provided by the Sindh Government.
Important Points:
- No fees or charges: SRSO is not collecting any fee or charges at any level for the verification of surveyed households, distribution of kits, and installation services at homes.
