A district-level Naat recitation competition was organized in Attock, on August 25, 2026, to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). This event was initiated by the Deputy Commissioner of Attock under the patronage of the Administrator District Council and Education Department.
36 students, comprising 18 boys and 18 girls from all tehsils of the district, participated after excelling in their respective tehsil-level competitions.
Assistant Commissioner Arif Qureshi served as the chief guest, accompanied by Dr. Muhammad Azhar (CEO District Education Authority Attock), DEO Secondary Altaf Hussain, Deputy DEOs Abid Khan and Munir Ahmed, along with numerous teachers and students.
The recitation of Naat-e-Rasool Maqbool (PBUH) created a profound spiritual atmosphere.
Dr. Azhar announced a total cash prize of Rs2 million for the position holders, with Rs100,000 allocated to each category. In the boys’ category, Nasheman Abbas from Government High School No. 1 Jand secured first place and Rs50,000, followed by Ali Waris from Government High School No. 1 Fateh Jang with Rs30,000 and Muhammad Hasnain from Government Islamia High School Attock with Rs20,000.
The girls’ category saw Diya Rabab from Technical College Attock emerge as the winner, claiming Rs50,000, while Alisha Bibi from Government Girls High School No. 2 Attock and Kashf Zahra from Government Girls High School No. 2 Fateh Jang secured second and third positions respectively with Rs30,000 and Rs20,000.
At the conclusion, cash prizes and certificates were distributed to the successful students, who were congratulated for their outstanding performances. The organizers, including Education Officer Mehtab Hussain Malik and Headmaster Ali Hassan from Government High School Shakardara, received appreciation for ensuring a disciplined and transparent event.
This competition not only celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) but also encouraged students to embrace the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Seerat-e-Tayyaba, religious values, and healthy extracurricular activities.
