District Administration Strengthens Measures to Curb Dengue
The district administration has taken stringent measures to combat dengue, directing all relevant departments to intensify anti-mosquito operations and public awareness campaigns. This was announced on August 25, 2026, through a meeting led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohibullah Khan Yousafzai.
Key Decisions and Directives:
- Intensify Anti-Mosquito Operations: The administration directed the Health Department, Water and Sanitation Services Company, Local Government, and Public Health Engineering to conduct effective anti-mosquito spraying and fumigation across the district.
- Inspect Breeding Sites: All Assistant Commissioners were tasked with inspecting potential breeding grounds like tyre shops, block factories, nurseries etc.
- Strengthen Public Awareness: The meeting emphasized the need for intensified public awareness campaigns at schools, institutions, and public places to foster collective responsibility in dengue prevention.
- Prepare Isolation Wards: The Health Department was directed to keep isolation wards for dengue patients functional in all hospitals to handle emergencies promptly.
Mohibullah Khan Yousafzai stressed that dengue prevention is a shared societal responsibility and warned against any negligence in the ongoing measures.
