DPO Sacks Four Cops Over Corruption
KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) District Police Officer Muhammad Abid has dismissed four police personnel from service following an inquiry into corruption and serious misconduct at the Jahanian licensing centre, officials said on Saturday.
Those dismissed are Junior Traffic Warden Sajid Mehmood, Traffic Assistant Muhammad Rashid, Traffic Assistant Muhammad Saeed, and Constable Muhammad Saleem, who were found involved in corrupt practices and irregularities during the departmental probe.
DPO Muhammad Abid stated that the action was part of an ongoing internal accountability process, adding that the department maintains a zero-tolerance policy on corruption, bribery, and misuse of authority, and that no personnel would be allowed to violate rules and regulations.
