Drainage Improvement Work Accelerated in DI Khan
Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 25, 2026) The work on a new sewerage line in Muslim Bazaar is nearing completion as the Public Health Department steps up efforts to improve drainage in the city.
According to the Public Health Department, the new sewerage and drainage system in Muslim Bazaar cannot be operational until the outfall work on Shami Road is completed. However, the work on the outfall is also progressing at a fast pace.
Once the Shami Road work is finished, the newly laid sewerage line in Muslim Bazaar will be operational, officials said. The project is expected to enhance drainage in Muslim Bazaar and surrounding areas, alleviating sewerage-related issues faced by residents. The department assured that they are working diligently to finish the remaining tasks as per the scheduled timeline.
