Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched the ‘Initial Registration’ platform to streamline the developer journey by integrating project registration, real estate transaction registration, and escrow account management. This initiative leverages artificial intelligence, automates processes, and provides more efficient and transparent digital services, supporting Dubai's position as a global hub for real estate investment.
The platform launch aligns with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s announcement of a new government framework aimed at enabling 50% of UAE sectors to operate through autonomous AI models within two years.
The ceremony took place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, attended by DLD's Acting Director General and CEOs, alongside public and private sector officials. The event featured a presentation on the platform’s functionality, followed by discussions on its services and capabilities to enhance developer experience and streamline transactions.
By connecting developers' core operations, the platform reduces data entry and document submissions while strengthening coordination between developers, DLD, and banks managing escrow accounts. It offers a consolidated view of projects and real estate portfolios, aiding developers in monitoring their businesses and making informed decisions based on integrated data.
Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) at Dubai Land Department, stated:
"The launch of the ‘Initial Registration’ platform marks an investment in the real estate sector's efficiency and growth readiness. As the market evolves, we continue to develop a digital ecosystem that enables developers to manage projects and transactions effectively... By deploying AI and strengthening stakeholder integration, we enhance ease of doing business, transparency, and governance, building investor confidence and supporting Dubai's long-term competitiveness."
The platform utilizes artificial intelligence to read documents like Emirates IDs, passports, and sales contracts, automatically extracting relevant data and populating fields, thereby minimizing manual data entry and improving accuracy.
