E-Challan System Fully Operational On Hazara Motorway, Fines To Be Collected At Interchanges

UrduPoint (22 August 2026)

ABBOTTABAD: (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News22nd Aug, 2026) The e-challan system on the Hazara Motorway has become fully operational following the completion of camera installation. Now, motorists committing traffic violations will be required to pay their fines at interchanges before exiting the motorway.

According to SP Maqsood Dogar, the automated system identifies vehicles carrying e-challans as they reach an interchange. A designated indicator alerts motorway police personnel about the vehicle and its outstanding violation. Officials then check the e-challan and collect the fine; after which, the vehicle is permitted to leave.

SP Maqsood Dogar stated that this system aims to improve traffic violations monitoring, ensure effective enforcement of motorway laws, and encourage motorists to comply with regulations.
