Eid Milad-un-Nabi Celebrations Conclude Peacefully Amid Tight Security In Tank
TANK, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 26, 2026) All religious gatherings, processions, and other programs organized in connection with 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal concluded peacefully in Tank district on Wednesday, as the district police maintained tight security arrangements across the area.
The celebrations marking Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) were held with religious enthusiasm and fervor, with processions from different parts of the district following designated routes under comprehensive security cover.
According to a police spokesman, a special security plan involving 325 police officers and personnel was implemented under the command of District Police Officer (DPO) Tank Abdul Samad Khan to ensure foolproof security during the celebrations. The DPO personally supervised security arrangements, monitoring the deployment of police at sensitive points, procession routes, and the main venue.
Processions from various villages proceeded towards Anwar Raza Madrassa in Wazirabad, culminating in a central gathering. Police personnel remained deployed along the routes and around the venue to prevent any untoward incident. Personnel from the District Security Branch (DSB), Special Branch, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), traffic police, and other security units performed duties related to surveillance, patrolling, checking, and security.
The police also conducted strict checks at entry points of the main gathering, searching participants before allowing them to enter. Traffic police regulated vehicular movement along procession routes and surrounding areas for smooth traffic flow.
DPO Abdul Samad Khan appreciated the police officers and personnel for their commitment and professionalism in performing their duties. He stated that the coordinated security arrangements ensured the protection of citizens and their property, contributing to maintaining law and order throughout the 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal programs.
