Acting President, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, has paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Pakistan Air Force Day, stating that their courage and professional record remain a proud chapter in Pakistan's history.
Tribute to PAF
In a message on Pakistan Air Force Day, the Acting President highlighted how this day commemorates the service of men who defended Pakistan's airspace and national security. He commended the PAF for earning the nation’s trust through its professionalism, discipline, and commitment to the country's defense.
Referring to the 1965 war, Gilani praised the courage and skill displayed by PAF personnel, citing it as an example of service and sacrifice. He extended his tributes to the martyrs and ghazis, whose service continues to be a source of inspiration.
The Acting President acknowledged the PAF's crucial role in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, attributing its readiness and professional capability with protecting Pakistan's sovereignty and airspace. He expressed national solidarity with the armed forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Finally, he prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, safety for veterans, and success for the officers and personnel of the PAF.
