Emergency Measures Reviewed at Disposal Stations

On the directives of Mayor Sukkur, Barrister Arslan islam Shaikh, Municipal Commissioner Khalid Hussain Jatoi, along with Engineer Zahoor Dharejo and Razaq Mangi, visited various disposal stations across the city on Tuesday.
During the inspection, the Municipal Commissioner reviewed emergency arrangements for drainage, including:
- Availability of fuel for generators
- Functionality of emergency motors
- Condition of vehicles and heavy machinery
- Deployment of manpower
He issued strict instructions to ensure all necessary arrangements are completed well in time for any emergency situation, particularly considering the recent rains and monsoon season.
The Municipal Commissioner emphasized Mayor Sukkur's direction that there should be no negligence in drainage and sanitation works. All disposal stations must remain fully functional round-the-clock, providing immediate relief to citizens. He further directed officials to keep emergency staff alert and ensure prompt response to complaints regarding accumulation of rainwater in low-lying areas.
