Enhancing Local Governance: Weekly Peace Jirga Convenes at SDC Gambat in Kohat

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Sep, 2026) Under the directives of the government and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, the district administration of Kohat successfully convened its weekly peace jirga at the Service Delivery Center (SDC) Gambat.
Chaired by Additional Assistant Commissioner-III Kohat on Thursday, the session brought together local elders, community representatives, and officials from relevant municipal departments to foster direct dialogue and streamline public service delivery.
During the interactive session, community members raised various local grievances and administrative challenges. While several minor issues were promptly resolved on the spot, the chair issued immediate directives to the concerned departments for the swift redressal of remaining public concerns, reinforcing the administration's proactive governance model.
Local residents warmly welcomed the district administration's regular outreach initiative, praising its ongoing commitment to resolving grassroots issues and improving overall service delivery across the region.
