Their failed policy is not reducing terrorism; it is increasing it, and is anti-Pashtun, anti-province, and anti-Pakistan, stated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.

Responding to Federal Government Threats

PESHAWAR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Oct, 2026)

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has firmly rejected threats from the federal government to impose governor’s rule or an emergency in his province, stating he faces no fear.

Criticizing current government policies, Afridi alleged that terrorism is on the rise due to failed strategies. "Even if they take my life, I will not accept their policy on terrorism," he declared.

He accused the federal government of pursuing a policy detrimental to Pashtuns, noting, "The game of earning Dollars at the expense of Pashtuns must end."

Challenging Federal Authority

In response to reports suggesting governor’s rule or an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Afridi defiantly invited the federal government to act: "If you want to impose governor’s rule today, do it. It makes no difference to me. I am not afraid of their threats." He further asserted that his long march will continue beyond Swabi, and its outcome is certain to be revealed.
