Excise Department Conducts Major Anti-narcotics Operations in Jamrud

The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has intensified its anti-narcotics operations in line with the provincial government’s zero-tolerance policy against drugs and the directives of Provincial Minister Excise, Syed Fakhar Jehan.
In a recent operation, successful raids were conducted in Jamrud, Wazir Dhand, and other areas, resulting in the seizure of a substantial amount of narcotics and the arrest of two alleged drug peddlers.
Details of the Operation
According to the Excise Department, a team comprising:
- Excise and Taxation Officer (Counter Narcotics Operations) Dr. Majid Khan
- In-charge Excise Intelligence Bureau Aqif Nawaz Khan
- SHO Khyber Ali Jan Khan
- SHO Ruidad Khan
- Additional In-charge EIB Waheed Akbar Khan
- Personnel from Excise Police Stations Peshawar and Khyber
- Excise Intelligence Squad
conducted operations in Jamrud, Wazir Dhand, and surrounding areas. The team recovered:
- Over 1,000 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine) and ice tokens
- 6,000 grams of hashish
- 1,500 grams of opium
- 50 grams of heroin
- 3,000 intoxicating pills
- Two bottles of liquor
Two alleged drug dealers were arrested, and legal proceedings have been initiated against them.
Continued Efforts
The Excise Department assured that operations against drug dealers and smugglers will continue with increased intensity to eradicate narcotics, particularly ice and heroin, from the province.
