Excise Dept Carries Out Anti-narcotics Operations, Recovers Hashish, Heroin
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched fresh operations against narcotics in Peshawar, seizing a significant quantity of drugs and apprehending several suspects.
Operations and Seizures:

Operation at Joint Check Post: During a search of a vehicle (CAG-868), 1,200 grams of hashish were recovered, leading to the arrest of Danish Safteen Malik son of Muhammad Safteen Malik.

Raid in H Gol Chowk: Another operation resulted in the discovery of 1,000 grams of heroin and 1,200 grams of hashish. Jalat Khan son of Shehzada and Fazal Hadi son of Salam Bar Khan were detained during this raid.

School Bag Search: Excise Police prevented a drug smuggling attempt at H Gol Chowk, seizing 2,400 grams of hashish from a school bag carried by Kameen Khan son of Adam Khan.
These operations are in line with the provincial government’s stringent policy against narcotics and the directives from Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan.
