Excise Recovers Ice-drug, Ecstasy Tablets, Arrests Suspect
Peshawar, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 22, 2026) – The Excise Bureau’s Intelligence and Investigation Squad has arrested an alleged drug dealer involved in smuggling ice (methamphetamine) and ecstasy tablets on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, the investigation squad intercepted a passenger van near H-Goal Chowk in Hayatabad. During the search, officials intercepted a passenger identified as Jahanzeb, who was carrying an electric stove. A closer inspection revealed that the appliance was being used as a concealment device, housing 47 ice-filled capsules weighing a total of 470 grams alongside 150 ecstasy tablets.
The squad seized the contraband on the spot and registered a case against the accused at Excise Police Station Peshawar, where further investigation is currently underway.
