Faisalabad Development Authority Introduces Five-Day Working Week

The authority will operate from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, with a one-hour Friday prayer break, while official assignments and government engagements will continue as scheduled.
FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Nov, 2026) A new office schedule has been introduced at the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) under which the authority will now observe a five-day working week, with Saturday and Sunday designated as weekly holidays.
A FDA spokesman said here on Wednesday that the office hours from Monday to Friday will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Fridays, a one-hour break will be observed from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), Muhammad Asif Chaudhary has formally issued a notification regarding the revised office timings, which will come into effect immediately.
The decision has been taken in accordance with the approval granted during the 126th meeting of the FDA Governing Body, following which the revised office timings and weekly holiday schedule have been implemented.
The notification further clarified that the implementation of the new schedule will not affect official assignments, meetings or other government-related engagements scheduled by the relevant divisional and district administrations involving the authority, the spokesman added.
