FCCI Chief Welcomes Extended Hours at Passport Offices
Faisalabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News, 22nd Aug, 2026) Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Farooq Yousaf Sheikh has welcomed the decision to extend passport office operating hours from 8 a.m. to midnight, describing it as a significant step towards public facilitation.
According to a statement by the FCCI president, the extended hours will bring considerable relief to citizens, businesspersons, students, and professionals by eliminating delays in obtaining and renewing travel documents. He noted that this increased flexibility will allow people to visit passport offices according to their convenience, without disrupting their daily professional commitments, thereby clearing the pending backlog of applications.
Farooq Yousaf Sheikh expressed hope that this initiative would streamline the administrative workload across passport centers and enhance overall service delivery for citizens planning travel abroad.
