FCCP Seeks Replies Over 21-Year Delay In Government Plot Allotment To Former Employee

The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan (FCCP) has requested responses from the Establishment Division and Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) regarding the non-allotment of a government plot to Madh Hussain, a former employee, despite a 21-year wait.

A two-member bench, headed by Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi and including Justice Rozi Khan Barrech, heard the case on Monday. Justice Rizvi questioned the authority's refusal to recognize Hussain as a government employee, despite a letter from the Establishment Secretary stating otherwise.

The FGEHA's counsel argued that Hussain was not a government employee but had worked for the Heavy Industries Taxila board. The court issued notices to the Establishment Division, FGEHA, and the Attorney General's Office for their explanations.

Madh Hussain served from 1977 to 2005, but his government plot allotment remains unresolved.
