FESCO Chief Urges Consumers to Inspect Wiring and Avoid Electrical Overloading
Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) chief executive Engineer Abid Rasheed has directed staff to monitor operations and advised consumers to take precautions to prevent accidents.
In a message to consumers, Engineer Abid Rasheed emphasized the importance of electrical safety, stating that negligence can lead to serious accidents and loss of life. He tolerated no lapse in ensuring safety and highlighted the company's responsibility to educate consumers about safe electricity use.
He urged consumers to:
- Regularly get internal wiring inspected by licensed electricians and replace defective, worn-out, or exposed wires.
- Avoid overloading electrical sockets, switchboards, and extension boards.
- Check proper earthing and the installation of safety circuit breakers, also ensuring they function correctly.
