FIA Urged To Probe Spurious Prize Awarding Schemes

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) A resident of Hyderabad has filed a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here on Friday, accusing the operators of three prize schemes of fleecing millions of rupees from citizens.
According to the complainant Gul Sher Ahmed, these so-called schemes were floating lucrative offers against investments to the citizens. He urged the FIA to investigate if those schemes had fulfilled all legal procedures compulsory before floating such investment and prize awarding options. He also requested the agency to check the status of tax returns of the schemes' operators.
Ahmed claimed that he was himself defrauded of cash by one such operator of a prize winning scheme. He mentioned in his complaint names of three particular schemes which were at present offering prizes to the residents of Tandojam town of Hyderabad.
